Binance Launchpad, Binance’s exclusive token launch platform for transformative blockchain projects, has just announced support for Axie Infinity, a Pokémon-inspired digital pet universe where users can earn tokens through skilled gameplay and contributions to the ecosystem, according to a press release shared with iHodl.
Axie (AXS) $2,97M USD token sale on Binance Launchpad, which will follow a lottery-format ticket claim, will start on October 27 at 06:00 am UTC (+0).
In the game, users can virtually battle, collect, raise and build a land-based kingdom for their pets called "Axies." The game, that currently has more than 7,000 on-chain monthly active users, is the most popular and #1 NFT game on Ethereum in terms of monthly and weekly active users.
In spite of being a game, Axie can also be considered as a social network and job platform due to the strong community and play to earn opportunities that have come from its early success.
It must be noted that Axie Infinity cooperates with well-known companies such as Samsung, Ubisoft, HTC, MakerDAO, Kakao (KlaytN), Kyber Network, Animoca Brands and Delphi Digital.
5 projects have launched on the Binance Launchpad so far this year, raising more than $11M in total. Axie Infinity is the third gaming project supported by Binance Launchpad.
