According to it, LINE is working on a platform for the development of central bank digital currencies which aims to help central banks create their own customized digital currencies.

The company is reportedly in talks with several Asian central banks about the implementation of its blockchain platform.

The news should not be a surprise, as it is a fact that LINE has been interested in the blockchain and crypto sector for quite a while. For instance, in August the company launched a blockchain development platform for decentralized apps and services as well as a digital asset wallet called Bitmax. In addition, earlier this year LINE's crypto branch LVC Corporation started the trading of its own token Link (LN) in Japan.
