Binance Charity, the charitable foundation of the crypto exchange Binance, has raised more than $4M in cryptocurrencies as part of its Crypto vs. COVID project, which was launched on March 24, 2020.

It must be noted that thanks to the efforts of the initiative, assistance has been provided in 20 countries around the world and more than 450 million pieces of personal protection equipment have been sent to medical institutions around the world.

Thus, in July it was known the institution had donated 15,000 pieces of personal protective equipment (PPE) and 31,200 masks to Spain, one of the most affected countries in the world, to help in the fight against the covid-19. The donation was valued at about $450,000, of which $366,750 went to protective equipment and $62,800 to masks.

The aim of the Binance Charity's initiative is to attract $5M in cryptocurrencies so that medical equipment can be purchased and donated in the regions that are most affected by the coronavirus pandemic.
