The wallet, according to an official announcement, currently supports only iOS devices and allows users to store bitcoin (EXANTE: Bitcoin), Liquid Bitcoin, Tether (USDT), L-CAD, and other Liquid-oriented assets.
The app also has integrated support for fiat purchases of crypto via debit cards or Apple Pay thanks to Blockstream's partnership with Wyre.
"We will be working with additional third parties to add more venues for buying Bitcoin or shifting Liquid assets in the coming months," the company said.
Blockstream says it will continue to develop Blockstream Green and AQUA in parallel, with Blockstream Green targeted at power users that want more control and privacy features like TOR.
In August 2020, Blockstream CEO Adam Back compared the Ethereum, Ripple, Stellar, Cardano and EOS projects with large crypto pyramids.
According to Back, the problem with the ecosystems lies in the allocation of assets. At least 70% of the project's cryptos was originally mined by their creators, which speaks for itself.
