Blockchain Capital, a venture capital firm with deep sector expertise and reach in blockchain, has joined the Libra Association.

According to an official press release, the firm will help the Association to create a more equitable payment system.
The Libra Association, Vice Chairman and Head of Policy and Communications, Dante Disparte, says the firm "brings deep industry insight" and "a dynamic network of supporters as we work on building a blockchain-based payment system that supports responsible financial services innovation."
Blockchain Capital is known as one of the oldest venture investors in the blockchain industry with a portfolio of more than 70 projects financed, including Ripple, Ethereum and Coinbase.
Earlier, iHodl reported that the Libra Association appointed James Emmett, a former CEO of HSBC Bank plc and Europe, as Managing Director of Libra Networks.
According to an official announcement, Emmett’s appointment is the latest in a series of major progress updates this year.
