French Investment Bank Selects Tezos for Testing CBDC

Société Générale S.A., a French multinational investment bank, has announced it selected the Tezos blockchain network for testing central bank digital currency (CBDC).

According to an official press release, the experiment will explore the feasibility of financial securities being digitally settled and delivered in CBDC.

Nomadic Labs, one of the largest research and development centers in the Tezos ecosystem, will reportedly also participate in the experiment.

Nomadic Labs President, Said Michel Mauny, says the Tezos project is already has its reputation both in France and abroad.

"We are especially pleased to see this technology selected by Société Générale -Forge, and to reaffirm, once again, that the quality and expertise of our engineering is rewarded," he added.

Previously in September, the crypto derivatives exchange BitMEX announced plans to launch futures markets for Chainlink (LINK) and Tezos (XTZ).

Tezos Foundation to Settle all Class Action Lawsuits

The platform said LINK and XTZ derivatives will be added to BitMEX thanks to the strong growth both assets have experienced during this year. In addition, the exchange also plans to add additional contracts for EOS and Cardano (ADA).
