It is expected that Mozaffari's initiative will be presented publicly by the Central Bank of Iran in the near future.

"We hope that next week our meeting will be coordinated with the head of the Central Bank, and we will follow up on this issue and submit requests from the private sector to set up a cryptocurrency exchange," Mozaffari added.

The KFZO CEO also proposed to use only those digital assets that were mined in the territories of free economic zones.

Mozaffari believes that with the regulator's approval, the vehicle import problem in Iran might finally be solved.
