Crypto exchange Binance has just announced it has expanded its collaboration with the decentralized gaming platform The Sandbox.

The exchange has just announced its collaboration with the decentralized gaming platform The Sandbox after purchasing 4,012 LAND NFT tokens from it before the start of the fourth LAND pre-sale in the games' metaverse, which is scheduled for September 15. The Sandbox recently completed a token sale in which it raised around $3M through Binance Launchpad, an exclusive token sales platform, Binance representatives told iHodl.

The Sandbox creates a unique virtual world in which players can build, own and monetize digital assets using the token of the platform and the official token of The Sandbox as well as non-expendable tokens (NFTs). LAND is an NFT token (ERC-721) whose total supply is 166,464, each with a unique location.

Binance will use its LAND tokens to interact in the virtual worlds of The Sandbox and organize future competitions for the creation of NFT tokens with the support of VoxEdit and The Sandbox NFT market. In addition, prior to the public (beta) launch of The Sandbox platform in December 2020, the exchange plans to distribute its LAND tokens to the creators of the most attractive games made with The Sandbox Game Maker through various contests.

The Sandbox has carried out four successful pre-sales of LAND tokens in 2020, selling LANDs (ERC-721 NFTs) valued at more than $1.5M. Most offers were completed in just minutes or hours due to high demand.
