SushiSwap Founder Transfers Project Control to FTX CEO

Chef Nomi, the anonymous founder of the DeFi project SushiSwap, has just transferred the control of the project to FTX CEO Sam Bankman-Fried.

The decision comes just after Nomi hit all headlines after converting a large number of his SUSHI tokens to Ethereum, causing the price of the crypto to crash by 50% and making the community think the project is an exit scam.

However, Nomi transferred the control of the project to Bankman-Fried yesterday after handing over its management keys. Nomi said through his official Twitter account:

"I hope SushiSwap does well without me. Again I did not intend to do any harm. I'm sorry if my decision did not follow what you expected."

The project has received a lot of attention from the community since it was launched on August 28.

The price of the SUSHI crypto jumped from $1.8 to $3.2 shortly after the news was known.
