Just Eat, a British online food order and delivery service, has included bitcoin (EXANTE: Bitcoin) as an additional payment method for its French arm Just Eat France.

According to the customer service page, payment methods have been expanded to include Apple Pay, Google Pay and bitcoin via Just Eat app.
Back in 2009, Just Eat raised £10.5 million via its first Series A investment funding from Index Ventures and Venrex Capital.
Three years later, in April 2012, a third round of investment saw Vitruvian Partners and existing backers, Index Ventures, Greylock Partners and Redpoint Ventures, invest a further £40 million in Just Eat Holdings Ltd.
However, not everyone shares the idea that BTC can be considered as a legal tender. Andrew Bailey, governor of the Bank of England, has recently rejected bitcoin as a means of payment while recognizing the potential of stablecoins.
During a conference held at the Brookings Institute, Bailey said that bitcoin is an asset that has "no connection at all to money." In addition, he has gone further by saying cryptos are not a good asset to invest in because "their value can fluctuate quite, widely, unsurprisingly."
Earlier this year, an American investor and Tudor Investment Corp. CEO, Paul Tudor Jones, bought bitcoin (EXANTE: Bitcoin) as a hedge against the inflation risks.
Jones claims the current situation on the stock market reminds him of the role gold played back in the 1970s.
