Revolut, one of Europe's largest financial apps, can now be used by Australian users to trade cryptocurrencies, Cointelegraph has reported.

The app, which was launched in the country in August, did not yet allow Australian residents to trade cryptocurrencies. At the time of its launch, 30,000 Australians were on the waiting list to use the app, while 25,000 Australians tested its beta version.

However, from now on, they will be able to buy, sell and store Bitcoin, Ethereum, Litecoin, Bitcoin Cash, XRP and Stellar.

The functionality is not yet available to all users. According to the company, its "Plan Metal" customers can already transfer digital assets to other users, as well as exercise the option of rounding up credit card payments to nearly a dollar so that they can use the remaining change to buy cryptocurrencies.

Standard and premium customers will still have to wait a little before they can enjoy these new features.

Revolut has more than 1 million users in its crypto exchange and 6,000 new accounts are registered every day.
