Cryptocurrency exchange Coinbase has announced the addition of Marc Andreessen and Gokul Rajaram to its Board of Directors.

The exchange expects Andressen and Rajaram will counsel it on product development and class governance practices.

Marc Andreessen is known as super angel investor. Together with Ben Horowitz, he founded Silicon Valley venture capital firm called Andreessen Horowitz in 2009.

Prior to Coinbase, Gokul Rajaram led Caviar, a premium food ordering service at DoorDash. Before DoorDash, Rajaram worked at Square, where he led several product development teams on Square's executive team.

He also worked at Google AdSense as a Product Management Director.

"Both bring a wealth of experience that we will put to use to the benefit of the company, our customers and the broader community," Coinbase wrote in an announcement.

Coinbase also said Barry Schuler will step off as the Series C Director.

Previously, the US-based cryptocurrency exchange announced that Marcus Hughes, Coinbase General Counsel for international operations, now serves as General Manager for Europe.

Hughes will lead the scale of Coinbase's operations across Europe, along with bringing to market new products and features.
