The amount of bitcoins (EXANTE: Bitcoin) in miners' cryptocurrency wallets has reached a two-year high, iHodl Russia has learned.
Now, miners' wallets contain over 1.82 million bitcoins. An uptrend has been observed since September 2019.
If you are looking for a crypto trading platform to trade your assets, visit Gozo.pro, a safe and reliable exchange.
Over the past year, the number of these bitcoins has grown by 2%.
Ex-F2Pool Director, Thomas Heller, considers this indicator as a bullish sign.
Cryptocurrency miners are storing bitcoins in anticipation of a rise in the rate, Heller said.
It is worth noting that the amount of coins that have not been moved for at least one year also reached a four-year high in June.
Also, the number of bitcoins in miners' wallets has grown due to the fact that new pools began to accumulate uncharacteristically large amounts of cryptocurrency.
For example, the mining pool Lubian.com, which showed almost no activity until March, currently holds almost as many assets as F2Pool, founded in May 2013.
Earlier, iHodl reported that bitcoin's (EXANTE: Bitcoin) hashrate set a new historical record at 129 TH/s.
The amount of computing power grew by almost 45% just two and a half months after the May halving, which reduced mining reward from 12.5 BTC to 6.25 BTC per block.
