An open-source, client-side digital wallet MyEtherWallet (MEW) has announced it added support for Aave and Ren decentralized finance (DeFi) products.
Access more than 50 of the world's financial markets directly from your EXANTE account – including NASDAQ, London Stock Exchange and Tokyo Stock Exchange.
According to an official blog announcement, the MyEtherWallet developers tied Aave and Ren with MEWconnect, allowing dApp developers to make their applications available to MEW users.
"If you are a DApp developer, we encourage you to consider adding MEWconnect protocol to your access methods and joining the MEW family," MEW said.
Aave is an open-source and non-custodial protocol that allows earning interest on deposits and borrow assets, while Ren is an open protocol that provides access to inter-blockchain liquidity for all dApps.
By integrating Ren into MEW, the wallet app users will be able to use their non-Ethereum assets like bitcoin (EXANTE: Bitcoin) in Ethereum DeFi dApps.
Meanwhile, the average fee amount on the Ethereum network has reached a new high of $7.4, according to data provided by Blockchair. The previous record of $5.4 was reached back in July 2018.
