Electric Coin Company (ECC), creators of the Zcash cryptocurrency (ZEC), has announced the launch of the Crypto in Context program, an initiative focused on educational crypto/blockchain-related workshops.

Access more than 50 of the world's financial markets directly from your EXANTE account – including NASDAQ, London Stock Exchange and Tokyo Stock Exchange.

According to an official blog post, the idea has grown from an initial pilot in the South Bronx, where ECC partnered with high school teacher Carlos Acevedo and representatives from Gemini, Flexa, Messari and others.

"A two-day, summer workshop resulted in three internships and a second installment of the series," ECC said.

The company behind ZEC claims the initiative is designed to empower bilateral awareness and understanding of the cryptocurrency technology.

ECC's action to educate more about crypto comes after Token-based cryptocurrency exchange Liquid decided to delist ZEC with 28 other coins as part of process for applying for a license to operate in Singapore.

Back then, EEC said the exchange's decision to delist the asset was made "out of an abundance of caution for the purpose of quickly obtaining a license."
