Binance, one of the largest crypto exchanges in the world, has just announced the launch of a trading platform in Australia.

According to yesterday's announcement, the platform, which will be operated by a partner company, will offer crypto trading denominated in Australian dollars.

The launch comes more than a year after the company rolled out Binance Lite Australia, a platform with a much smaller offering.

Binance CEO Changpeng Zhao said:

"By providing a secure and regulated platform for trading digital currencies with AUD, Binance Australia aims to make crypto more accessible among Australian users, furthering our mission to provide crypto access and drive freedom of money worldwide."

The exchange allows its Australian users to deposit AUD directly from their bank accounts without paying any fees through PayID. To withdraw funds, they can simply link their local bank accounts to Binance Australia and make a withdrawal request.

The platform can now be accessed through its web version for desktop and mobile devices. However, the official exchange app will be available in the near future.
