Cryptocurrency exchange Binance has released a report in which announced the completion of 12th quarterly binance coin (BNB) burn.
The exchange has reportedly burned 3,477,388 BNB worth of $60,5 million.
This is the biggest BNB burn ever recorded, in terms of BNB and fiat volume, the exchange wrote in an announcement.
In total, the exchange managed to burn 23,593,399 BNB tokens so far.
Binance burns BNB tokens every quarter until 100 million tokens are removed from circulation.
"Given that we have adopted a remote workplace for the last two-and-a-half years, we didn’t have much to adjust to. We have continued to build and push out new features and updates. In Q1 of 2020, we had a record BNB burn amount, and in Q2, another record," said Binance CEO Changpeng Zhao.
At press time, BNB is trading at $17,86 (+4,03%), according to CoinMarketCap.
iHodl earlier reported Binance is planning to launch its own debit card Binance Card in European Economic Area (EEA) and the United Kingdom in August this year.
