Popular privacy-focused blockchain browser Brave and crypto trading platform BitFlyer have started working together on the development of a crypto wallet for Japanese users.
According to the announcement both companies shared yesterday, they will "develop a crypto asset wallet for Brave browser users."
While the details of the partnership have not yet been disclosed, it should be noted Brave cannot currently reward its Japanese users with BAT tokens due to local regulations. Instead, the platform offers them BAT Points, which allow them to tip creators, although they cannot be purchased as in the case of BAT tokens.
It remains to be seen whether this new crypto wallet will allow Brave to deliver BAT tokens directly to its Japanese users.
It is expected both companies will share more details about this joint project during Brave Asia, which will be held online on July 30.
