Communication protocol for peer-to-peer file sharing BitTorrent has added support for Binance USD (BUSD).
From now on, customers may purchase BitTorrent and µTorrent Classic Pro with BUSD, states an official press release.
All payments will reportedly be processed via CoinPayments.net, an integrated payment gateway provider for cryptocurrencies. Besides BUSD, BitTorrent also supports TRON (TRX), binance coin (BNB), bitcoin (EXANTE: Bitcoin), BitTorrent Token (BTT), and OKB (OKB).
BitTorrent CEO and TRON Founder, Justin Sun, says by using BUSD or other supported cryptocurrencies, millions of customers can unlock such features as malware protection from desktop torrent clients.
In January 2019, BitTorrent raised approximately $7,2 million in 18 minutes via crowdsale on Binance.
As a result, BitTorrent sold 59,4 billion BTT tokens in under 19 minutes.
