The net worth of Jeff Bezos, the CEO of Amazon and the richest person in the world, has exceeded $180B, Forbes reports.

Bezos' net worth has reportedly increased as a result of the growth of the company's shares, which in turn yesterday made the company's market cap skyrocket to $1.54T. Considering Bezos has an 11.1% stake in Amazon, his net worth now exceeds $182.6B.

On July 2, Bezos' fortune rose to its highest level since September 2018, amounting to more than $172B. Thus, the fortune of Amazon's CEO has grown by more than $8B in just one week.

According to Bloomberg, Bezos' net worth is equivalent to 0.89% of US GDP and represents 3% of the combined wealth of the 500 richest people in the world.

Bezos divorced MacKenzie Bezos in July 2019. As part of the divorce agreement, he gave her a quarter of his stake in Amazon, or 4%. Now Mackenzie Bezos' fortune is worth $59.8B, which makes her the second richest woman in the world. The first place goes to Alice Walton, the daughter of Walmart founder Sam Walton. According to consulting firm Wealth-X, her net worth stands at $61.4B.
