The monthly volumes of Bitcoin and Ethereum futures, the first and second largest cryptos by market cap, posted an abrupt fall in June.
Thus, according to data from The Block, the monthly volumes of Bitcoin and Ethereum futures fell last month to the levels of late 2019 and early 2020.
In particular, the volumes of the futures of the reference crypto fell by 40% in June, from $557B in May to $332B, while Ethereum's slid by 17% from $72.1B in May to $60.7B in June.
It must be noted BTC futures are 5.5 times more popular among users than ETH's, which can be clearly seen in the huge difference between their volumes.
