Blockchain Used to Verify Authenticity of Nike Sneakers
Main page News, Blockchain

Australian custom shoemaker Chase Shiel and retailer The Kickz Stand have teamed up to launch a limited custom version of the Nike Air Max 1.

However, what is really interesting about this partnership is the use of blockchain tech to verify the authenticity of the sneakers.

The sneakers, which will be released on June 28, will be sold exclusively through Chase Shiel's website.

VeChain has been chosen as the platform to verify the authenticity of the sneakers. Specifically, VeChain's ToolChain Suite and Thor Blockchain will be used to verify that the sneakers are not fake.

The Australian shoemaker announced back in November 2019 it planned to launch a new customized version of Nike sneakers and that VeChain's blockchain would be used to verify their authenticity.
