Ryde, a popular Singapore-based carpooling app, has just integrated its own crypto wallet, CoinTelegraph has reported.

From now on, Ryde users will be able to pay for the services of the app with the largest crypto by market cap.

According to an announcement shared with iHodl, Ryde has just become the first and only application of this type to offer its users BTC payments.

The possibility of paying with BTC will start to be available to users from June 22.

The wallet, dubbed RydePay, will allow its users to convert Bitcoin into Ryde coins, which are pegged to the Singapore dollar, to load their balance and pay for their trips. The conversion is made at market rates, without any fee.

The maximum deposit in the wallet is 999 Singapore dollars (about 715 US dollars). The company has reported it plans to add more cryptos to its ecosystem in the future.
