According to the latest data provided by the payment service BitPay, the largest crypto by market cap is still the favorite means of payment among its users.
Thus, during the past 8 months, Bitcoin has been used in 90% of the transactions processed on the platform. Its closest competitor, Bitcoin Cash, is used in only 3-5% of the payments, which clearly shows Bitcoin's dominance.
The number of transactions processed by the platform rose to 390,000 from January to April, with an average of 98,000 transactions per month.
BitPay is one of the most popular payment services in the crypto industry. Last year, it reportedly processed transactions worth $1B.
Late last week it was known BitPay had just announced the launch of a prepaid Mastercard card in the United States. According to the official announcement, the card can be loaded with dollars that are converted from cryptos.
