Australian and New Zealand Coca-Cola Vending Machines Start to Accept BTC

Around 2,000 Coca-Cola vending machines in Australia and New Zealand have started to accept the largest crypto in the market as a payment method.

This new feature has reportedly been made possible as a result of a collaboration between Coca-Cola Amatil, the brand's largest bottler and distributor in Asia Pacific, and the crypto payment startup Centrapay.

Users interested in paying for their drinks with Bitcoin must first install the Sylo Smart Wallet on their smartphones. After that, they must scan a QR code provided by Centrapay which allows them to pay both with Bitcoin and other cryptos.

Centrapay offers its services to other large companies such as Adidas, KFC or Jack Daniel's.

The company's CEO, Jerome Faury, assures the firm has been able to overcome two barriers to the adoption of crypto payments: "integration complexity and poor user experiences."

Centrapay plans to expand its business to the US.
