Voice, a social media based on blockchain technology developed by Block.one, will launch on July 4.

According to a post on the official Twitter account of Voice CEO Salah Zalatimo, the social network will be available to users on July 4, the US Independence Day.

The tweet reads:

"We had been building towards a big reveal this fall, but, we simply can't wait any longer. We need to take social back from big tech NOW."

It should be noted the beta version of the platform was launched back in February, so it has been being tested for months.

Block.one, the company behind the EOSIO protocol, has invested $100M in cash and $50M in intellectual property in the social media Voice, which was first announced in June 2019. In addition, the company bought the domain name voice.com for $30M.
