Binance, one of the world's largest crypto exchanges in the world, plans to launch the largest blockchain travel agency on the planet.
According to the official announcement shared by the exchange on Wednesday, as part of its strategy, the company has acquired the reservation platform Travala.com.
The platform has been integrated with TravelbyBit, a flight reservation portal backed by Binance.
While both platforms will operate independently for some time, all offers they make will be cross-marketed. However, the ultimate goal is to build an agency that will allow users to book more than 2 million hotels and flights on about 600 airlines in the same place.
Binance acquired the Australian travel agency TravelbyBit for $2.5M back in October 2018.
Binance CEO Changpeng Zhao said then cryptos are the most convenient tool for travel, since regardless of the country you travel to, you don't need to exchange your currency, as you can use your cryptos anywhere.
Regarding Travala.com, the platform moved its system to Binance Chain in 2019 and even has its own token, AVA, whose price jumped by 400% driven by news related to the acquisition.
