According to market analysis resource Glassnode, Bitcoin has 140 times more daily active addresses than XRP, the third largest crypto by market cap.
In particular, the reference crypto has almost three times more daily active addresses than Ethereum, 11 times more than Litecoin and 140 times more than Ripple (XRP).
Furthermore, Bitcoin does not only have more active addresses than these 3 cryptos, but its growth rate is also higher. Thus, the number of new daily BTC addresses is five times higher than in the case of Ethereum. For example, on May 12, just one day after the Bitcoin halving, in which the reward given to miners for mining a block was decreased from 12.5 BTCs to 6.25 BTCs, 470,000 new Bitcoin addresses were created, a much higher figure than the 90,000 new Ethereum addresses.
However, in spite of the fact that a lot of new addresses are being created, it must be noted that 95% of all existing Bitcoin addresses, around 626 million, have zero balance.
On the contrary, since February 2019, the number of Ethereum addresses that actually have funds has not stopped growing. Thus, the second largest crypto by market cap has almost 10 million more addresses with funds than Bitcoin.
