VeChain, a Singapore-based blockchain ecosystem, has entered into a partnership with I-Dante to develop a blockchain-enabled medical data management platform called The E-NewHealthLife.
Mediterranean Hospital of Cyprus, a hospital under the General Healthcare System of the Republic of Cyprus (GHS) is reportedly the first hospital to adopt the platform.
According to an official announcement, the platform will focus on securing data storage and efficient information sharing between multiple parties.
Powered by VeChain ToolChain the Digital Healthcare Passport is an encrypted NFC card that can be assigned to any patient of the hospital. The NFC cards will allow the patients to identify themselves automatically at the Emergency Room registration desk, check their queue on mobile dives and manage their medical records with the E-NewHealthLife Web App.
Earlier iHodl reported that VeChain became the first public blockchain protocol of the APAC provenance council, a cross-continental food supply chain & finance consortium powered by AliPay.
