Enjin, a Singapore-based information-technology company, has released its software development kit Enjin SDK for Godot.

Godot is a free and open-source game engine that allows anyone to build cross-platform 2D and 3D games.

According to an official announcement, the Enjin team also created an open-source demo game that will allow Godot developers to see our tech in action, then repurpose the source code for their own integrations.

With Enjin SDK game developers can build blockchain-based games in right in the Godot engine without writing "a single line of blockchain code."

Godot Co-founder Ariel Manzur says the Enjin SDK has "transformative potential for the games market."

"Godot developers are inventive and progressive. I believe they will embrace this technology given the unique opportunities it presents for persistent game design and safe, fair virtual economies," he added.

In 2018, Coinbase Co-founder and CEO Brian Armstrong expressed an opinion that crypto would find its destination in virtual reality (VR). Armstrong said that digital currencies would create an incentive for people to spend more time in virtual worlds.
