BitGo Acquires Institutional-grade Financial Platform for Managing Digital Assets

A digital asset trust company BitGo has announced it acquired an institutional-grade financial platform for managing digital assets called Lumina.

According to an announcement, with the acquisition, the wallet provider launched two new products called BitGo Portfolio & BitGo Tax.

With BitGo Portfolio, users can bring data from exchanges or digital wallets into a single dashboard for a consolidated view of their entire digital asset holdings and activity. BitGo Portfolio reportedly supports over 40 integration partners and 30 different types of transactions from crypto-asset purchases and sales to mining activity, forks, and loans.

BitGo Tax, an institutional-grade tax solution, provides the tax basis for resolved transactions and respective tax lots while BitGo Portfolio tracks and logs these activities to create an audit-ready system of record.

The company also announced Lumina CEO Chen Fang will be taking the role of Chief Product Officer for all BitGo products.

Earlier iHodl reported that BitGo expanded its services with two new custodial entities in Switzerland and Germany.
