Switzerland-based cryptocurrency exchange ShapeShift has added support for debit cards for its US users.
ShapeShift CEO Erik Brrrhees says US-based clients can now directly buy cryptocurrencies like bitcoin (EXANTE: Bitcoin), ether (ETH) or stablecoin USDC on the exchange.

The addition of debit cards became possible thanks to an infrastructure API provider in the crypto market called Wyre.
However, the new feature does not apply to NY residents.
Last year, the exchange completed its transformation into an end-to-end solution for crypto finance.
