Well-known bitcoin (EXANTE: BTC.EXANTE) supporter and CEO of a crypto investment firm Galaxy Digital Michael Novogratz in an interview with CNBC has said that if bitcoin fails to go up this year, then he might hang his spurs.
Novogratz's statement comes right after bitcoin succeeded shortly to break the $7000 mark and rolled back to $6620.
The Galaxy Digital CEO claims he's seeing hedge fund investors he "never saw before" getting into the bitcoin market.
"This is the year for bitcoin and if it doesn't go up by the end of the year I might just hang my spurs. Because if it doesn't go now, I'm not sure when it will," Novogratz said.
Earlier Novogratz said that 2020 is the exact year when bitcoin should come back to its record highs.
At press time, BTC is trading at the $6881 mark.
In the meantime, cryptoasset market and network data analytical agency Coin Metrics issued a research report according to which cryptocurrency miner-led selling pressure for bitcoin is likely to continue.
