Luxembourg-based cryptocurrency exchange Bitstamp has announced it is exploring listing seven new cryptocurrencies on the platform.
The exchange said it had been closely monitoring the market and performing due diligence to determine which projects fit within its internal framework.
As a result, the exchange is considering adding support for the following cryptocurrencies and stablecoins:
- Basic Attention Token (BAT)
- Ethereum Classic (ETC)
- Paxos Standard (PAX)
- USD Coin (USDC)
- Stellar Lumens (XLM)
- Zcash (ZEC)
- 0x (ZRX)
Nevertheless, Bitstamp says it cannot guarantee it will list any of the highly-mentioned assets and it does not disqualify any other assets from being monitored for possible listing.
Bank in February Bitstamp added support for SegWit bech32 addresses which means that all the exchange's users can withdraw bitcoin (EXANTE: Bitcoin) to bech32 addresses and create new deposit addresses in this format.
