Popular web browser Opera has just started offering its crypto purchase feature in all 27 EU countries as well as in four other nations: Australia, New Zealand, Mexico and Switzerland, according to the official announcement shared yesterday.

The feature, which was launched in the US a few weeks ago, allows Opera users to buy Bitcoin and Ethereum directly with Visa and Mastercard cards from the wallet that is integrated in the browser.

Charles Hamel, head of crypto at Opera browsers, has said:

"Being able to acquire cryptocurrencies without having to go through an exchange, directly from the wallet makes the process easy for our users. Expanding this feature to more regions is key to driving blockchain-adoption."

The feature is now available in the USA, Norway, Sweden, Denmark, all EU countries, Australia, New Zealand, Mexico and Switzerland.

Yesterday it was reported the popular web browser has just announced that it has become the world's first browser to introduce Web 3 capabilities and a built-in crypto wallet across its mobile and computer browsers. Thanks to the partnership with Unstoppable Domains, a blockchain naming system built on the Ethereum blockchain, Opera users are getting the ability to access the cloudless, decentralized web of the future through IPFS-protocol support. The browser's users can also send & receive cryptocurrencies via browser by integrating a crypto wallet.

Earlier this month iHodl reported Opera would soon release the iOS version of its web browser with integrated crypto wallet.
