Nonprofit blockchain education portal Binance Academy has announced the opening of an office in Shanghai.
According to Binance CEO Changpeng Zhao, Binance Academy reached "a milestone agreement" with the local government.
As an official announcement states, members of Lingang Xinyefang, Lingang Innovation Management College and Binance China's core team have jointly established the Lingang Blockchain Technology Industry Research Institute in Shanghai.
The main goal of the partnership is reportedly to promote China's blockchain technology research, industry application development, and industrial ecology building.

"The major epidemic has also made more and more countries and regions around the world see the potential of the blockchain. After the epidemic, we will definitely usher in the large-scale development and comprehensive competition of global blockchain technology and industry," Hai added.
Earlier iHodl reported that Binance announced the launch of a Binance Card. The card is issued by Visa and accepted by over 46 million merchants offline and online in 200 regions.
