An American fintech company Ripple Labs, Inc. has announced it сommitted to being part of the global response to the COVID-19 pandemic.
As a result, Ripple donated $100,000 both to Tipping Point Community, a non-profit community, and Silicon Valley Community Foundation.
Meanwhile, some bad actors are using people's fear of the coronavirus to spread malware. iHodl reported an increase in the number of domain names in which the coronavirus is mentioned. For instance, the CoronavirusApp application is being used to distribute the Android app CovidLock, which blocks users' screens and requests a payment of $100 in Bitcoins.
Previously iHodl reported that the Australian Securities Exchange (ASX) had decided to postpone its migration to blockchain due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
