The world's biggest stablecoin issuer Tether Inc has added support for Bitcoin Cash blockchain network, Bitcoin.com reports.
From now on, Tether distributes its stablecoins via the Simple Ledger Protocol (SLP). Thus, Bitcoin.com Wallet users can send and receive USDT stablecoins via SLP tokens right within the mobile wallet.
Tether CTO Paolo Ardoino says a key strength of Tether is that "it is underpinned by a rich diversity of different blockchains."
"Our latest collaboration with Bitcoin Cash will provide Tether with a variety of benefits. We expect the adoption after launch to be pretty easy for any integrator," Ardoino added.
Last year, Executive Chairman of Bitcoin.com Roger Ver announced a $200 million Bitcoin Cash Ecosystem Fund to incubate startups like payment gateways, processors remittances, wallet and merchant acquirers.
