A pioneer in digital entertainment products Atari has announced it will launch a music game based on the catalog of the world-renowned artist AVICII, the so-called Atari Token and a casino with support for cryptocurrencies by September 30, 2020.
According to an official press release, token in combination with the casino for cryptocurrencies offer new growth opportunities for Atari Partners.
"Their complementary nature in terms of audience and marketing make them an essentialasset for the Group's long-term expansion," said Atari CEO Frédéric Chesnais.
Atari believes it can discover various potential profitable use cases of the Atari Token and to favor use cases that are closest to the domain of video games, with priority being given to online casinos that are playable with cryptocurrencies.
The Atari Token will reportedly be issued through private placements starting as early as March 2020 with a public sale by September 30, 2020. Atari is also working on the liquidity of the Atari Token by facilitating the registration of this token on the main exchange platforms.
Atari Casino
The famous game producer is also working on an online casino with support for cryptocurrencies. The main goal is to offer casino platforms that allow players to bet with most cryptocurrencies.
The casino website will offer the most popular games, including Atari games, and the detailed terms will be announced at launch before September 30, 2020.
Last year, the game distributor and game console manufacturer announced it would remaster its RollerCoaster Tycoon Touch and Goon Squad games on blockchain technology.
