Tyler and Cameron Winklevoss, founders of the popular crypto exchange Gemini, have just launched Nifty Gateway, a marketplace for blockchain digital art.
According to Bloomberg, the platform currently features a collection by artist Michael Kagan and the work of Lyle Owerko, one of Beyoncé's favorite photographers.
Nifty has also reported it intends to create and launch exclusive collectibles in partnership with several celebrities in the coming months.
The company will launch a new NFT (non-fungible token) about once every three weeks. The first collectible will be the result of a collaboration between between female mixed martial arts pioneer Cris Cyborg and photographer Lyle Owerko.
Gemini acquired in November last year Nifty Gateway, a blockchain platform for trading NFTs. Thanks to this acquisition, the exchange accessed the technology that has allowed it to launch this marketplace.
It has recently been known the Winklevoss twins have received 6 patents related to stablecoins between August 2019 and January this year.
