The company has reported through Reddit the "Folding@home" initiative is accepting "donations" of computing power from users' GPUs, which is distributed to a global network that is working on the research of the COVID-19 as well as other diseases.
The company has extended its appeal to other industry actors such as Steel Series, NZXT and Razer, while Intel Gaming and MSI have also responded to the petition.
Even though the message was initially addressed at gamers, crypto miners can also participate, as the equipment needed to mine cryptocurrencies is so powerful it can contribute greatly to the cause.
