Crypto-focused company Circle has just announced it has launched a series of APIs that allow companies to access USDC with the aim of boosting the stablecoin's adoption.
An API or application program interface is a set of tools that determine how the different components of a software can interact.
According to the official announcement shared by the company yesterday, Circle now allows business clients to sign up for the Circle Business Account, a suite of API tools that allows developers to build on USDC.
Specifically, the company has released 3 different APIs:
- The Payments API allows businesses to settle credit card payments for USDC, thus bridging the gap between the traditional and crypto ecosystems.
- The Wallets API has been designed to simplify the storage of stablecoins for Circle customers.
- The Marketplace APIs provide tools for online e-commerce and digital services platforms.
Per the announcement, these new APIs were launched yesterday, while the company plans to roll out more over the coming weeks.
Thanks to Circle's APIs, any fintech company interested in integrating the USDC with the ability to store, custody and incorporate it into a product will be able to do so without any problem.
