Binance, one of the world's largest cryptocurrency exchanges, has announced it has added the Hong Kong dollar to its fiat gateway.
According to the announcement, which was shared by the exchange on February 21, users can now make deposits and withdrawals with this currency without any fee. Once the deposit is made, the currency can be used to acquire cryptocurrencies.
It must be noted this new functionality has been added to the platform thanks to the partnership between Binance and payment processor Epay.
Binance is constantly expanding its services to allow more users to access cryptocurrencies. Thus, earlier this month it was known the exchange had added support for buying cryptocurrencies with rubles through Visa cards.
Last week iHodl reported the exchange had temporarily stopped working. Shortly afterwards it was known the interruption in the service was related to a system overload due to the increase in the number of users after Bitcoin the $10,000 mark.
