The platform has suspended its operations to carry out an unscheduled system maintenance, the exchange CEO Changpeng Zhao has said through his official Twitter account:

"Unscheduled system maintenance. Trading paused. Working on it."

He has added:

"Funds are SAFU. No need to panic."

According to Zhao, one of the data pushers was at fault:

"One of the market data pushers had issues, matching engine was fine, no data loss or corruption (other than market data). Working on it. Should be fixed soon."

Trading and most other services are currently suspended while the maintenance work is being carried out.

Binance started suffering several problems last week. Then, CZ said they were due to a system overload caused by the large number of users who were trying to use the platform after Bitcoin exceeded $10,000.
