US crypto trading platform Coinbase has just announced it now allows New York residents to trade with USDC and Zcash.

The announcement was made yesterday by the platform through two separate tweets, informing New York residents can now buy, sell, convert, send, receive or store these two altcoins on the platform.

These new assets are also available on the Android and iOS versions of the Coinbase app.

Both USDC and Zcash were listed in Coinbase in late 2018, however, they were not available for trading to New York residents probably due to the state's tight regulation.

However, the exchange has been expanding the amount of crypto assets available to New Yorkers. For instance, over the past year it added a large number of cryptos, including XRP, Dai, Stellar Lumens and Chainlink.
