ConsenSys Initiates Another Round of Layoffs

The blockchain-focused software technology company ConsenSys has laid off approximately 14% of its staff, Reuters reports.

As Reuters reports, the restructuring process at ConsenSys will divide its internal software activities from its venture one.

It is expected that layoffs would allow the company to be better aligned with its needs.

A ConsenSys spokeswoman claims the job losses would not affect product teams. However, she refused to give the exact number of overall job losses.

Back in December 2018, approximately 13% of the ConsenSys staff received an email from the Founder & CEO of ConsenSys — Joseph Lubin declaring that the company would fire more than 1,200 employees as a part of refocusing its priorities.
