UAE Ministry of Health and Prevention Launches Blockchain-based Storing Platform

The UAE Ministry of Health and Prevention (MoHAP) has announced it recently launched the first advanced blockchain-based platform to store the data for health.

According to a local news outlet Emirates News Agency, the platform is focused on raising the efficiency of MoHAP and other health authorities’ health services.

Dr. Amin Hussain Al Amiri, Assistant Undersecretary of the Ministry of Health and Prevention’s Public Health Policy and Licenses says the transition to the AI technologies will make the UAE a leading global model "in the proactive confrontation of future challenges and focus on smart health care."

"The AI-based projects will play a key role in enhancing the capabilities of health care services and providing smart medical solutions, in accordance with the UAE Centennial 2071, and its artificial intelligence strategy," he added

Last year, MoHAP rolled out its first blockchain-based service to save and share the assessment information of health professionals.
