Japanese Top Social Network to Launch Cryptocurrency

The Japanese popular social media LINE has announced it launched a cryptocurrency called LINK (LN).

The new cryptocurrency will reportedly be available for public trading in Japan starting April 2020. It will be issued by LINE TECH PLUS PTE. LTD.

According to an official press release, since launching on the BITBOX cryptocurrency exchange on October 16, 2018, LINK has been available to users worldwide except in Japan and the United States.

With the launch of the LINK cryptocurrency, the social network is about to enter the Japanese market in accordance with the Japan Virtual Currency Exchange Association’s (JVCEA).

LINE-owned Crypto Exchange Delists XRP

Last year, LINE launched Bitmax, its own cryptocurrency trading platform. The platform allows its users to trade bitcoin (EXANTE: Bitcoin), ethereum, bitcoin cash and litecoin.
