Largest cryptocurrency mining manufacturers, including Bitmain and Canaan have notified their clients on delays in ASIC deliveries due to the coronavirus outbreak in China.

Since the Chinese government decided to extend the New Year holidays due to the outbreak, MicroBT and other mining manufacturers decided to postpone the supply of products.

"Production, delivery, after-sales service, as well as sending and receiving documents and other measures will be delayed," the MicroBT notice on WeChat said.

Meanwhile, the World Health Organization declared that the new coronavirus should be considered as a global health emergency.

Approximately 2,000 new cases were registered in the past 24 hours for a total of 7,834 worldwide, with 170 people have already died.

Earlier iHodl reported that bitcoin (EXANTE: Bitcoin) trading volumes paired with the Chinese yuan on a Finnish p2p trading platform LocalBitcoins fell down to the level of 2017.
