Google Searches For Bitcoin Halving Hit New Record

Analytical crypto-focused company Arcane Research has rolled out a new report according to which, Google searches for "Bitcoin Halving" have been skyrocketing over the past month.

According to the research, the bitcoin halving is attracting more and more attention all over the world as web searches accelerate.

The report shows that in January, Google searches for "bitcoin halving" have increased at least by x5 times just within few weeks.

"There is now a clear indication that awareness of the conceptis spread to new people," the report states.

The searches have already reached their maximum since bitcoin halving back in 2016. However, the company highlights that current searches are still "totally insignificant in comparison to overall bitcoin searches."

The upcoming bitcoin halving is scheduled to happen in May. It is expected that halving will cut the production of bitcoins (EXANTE: Bitcoin) in half, from 12.5 BTC down to 6.25 per block.

Earlier iHodl reported that Morgan Creek Digital Co-founder and partner Jason Williams believes the next bitcoin halving will nothing to the bitcoin price as it did before.
